CAPPS System Changes - May 2023

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • SR 20448: Ship-to Attention has been added to the PO Print report.
  • SR 29683: Unique constraint error occurring during the matching process has been resolved.
  • SR 29902: The Supplier Search hyperlink now displays all approved suppliers including CMBL.
  • SR 30440: Agency travel coordinators with the appropriate security access can now submit travel documents on behalf of employees without employee certification.
  • SR 31459: When sourcing a requisition to a purchase order, additional comments and attachments were intermittently missing from the purchase order.  The new comments as well as the attachments are now available to view on the Purchase Order Approval page.
  • SR 33084: The T&E expense report will no longer allow users to enter a travel begin date that is greater than the travel end date.
  • SR 33192: The business process for an agency to assign just the USAS DOC Type (1st Char) and let the counter assign the rest of the USAS document number has been restored.
  • SR 33975: The issue causing multi-funded or multiple distribution assets to reflect a SPA status of “Fail” has been resolved.
  • SR 34158: BUDGET_LINE_STATUS field was added to the TX_DIST_LN_E_VW and is available for use in the CAPPS data extracts.

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • SR 28335: A column for “Acceptance – Hire (# days)" was added to the TX Comprehensive Requisitions Metrics report, so that agencies can monitor the number of days between when a candidate accepts an offer and their start date.
  • SR 28606: A new tab for submissions completed was added to the TX - Candidate CSW Progress Details report, so that the agency can oversee the total submissions completed in various statuses, job codes, and date ranges.
  • SR 28637: The TX - Recruiting - Staffing Workload report was enhanced to update the usage of # Submission Completed and Recruiter so that agencies can use the report better.
  • SR 30537: The TX - Recruiting - Summary of Openings and Submissions Hired report was updated to add State Job Code so that agencies can better manage the recruiting process.
  • SR 31789: Almost all CAPPS Recruit OBI reports were updated to include position numbers so that agencies can use reports to better reconcile the job requisitions and position numbers.
  • SR 32667: An Active Postings Report was created for CAPPS Recruit OBI, so that agencies may review the posted requisitions and/or provide the information as needed to interested parties.
  • SR 33207 ( a ): Changed the Sick Leave Pool tile to Leave Pools so that one tile includes all leave pools.
  • SR 33207 ( b ): Added View Family Leave Pool and Family Leave Pool Adjustments pages under the Leave Pool tile with existing Sick Leave Pool pages, so that they are in the same place as similar pages.
  • SR 33207 ( c ): Added the FYE Leave Pool Process under the Leave Pool tile and it will remain under the FYE Processes tile so that users can easily access the tile in multiple places according to their role.
  • SR 33575: The TX - Requisition CSW Summary report was updated to add posting and unposting date columns so that agencies can reconcile the number of candidates in the CSW in relation to the posting period.
  • SR 38883: Updated code on Extended Attributes for Unclassified/Line-Item Exempt Job Codes, so that the invalid error message is no longer generated.
  • SR 39280: The TX - Recruiting EEO Detail Report was enhanced by adding columns for each element of the candidate address and adding columns with values that can be totaled for the veteran and former foster youth responses so that the data can be better used by the agency for summarization.
  • SR 40902: Added the Payroll Summary Report and the Payroll Register Report to the page collections in the left-hand navigation of the Payroll Distribution tile, Funding Reports menu, so that the reports are in the same place as other payroll reports.
  • SR 40903 ( a ): Added the Time and Labor WorkCenter tile to the Super User and Time Administrator Dashboards, so that Super Users and Time Administrators can leverage efficient navigation consistent with managers.
  • SR 40903 ( b ): Added the FMLA Balance Inquiry page to the page collections in the left-hand navigation of the Time Management menu, so that Super Users and Time Administrators can access the FMLA Inquiry Balance page more efficiently.
  • SR 40903 ( c ): Added the FMLA Balance Inquiry page to the page collections in the left-hand navigation of the Time & Labor WorkCenter tile, so that Super Users and Time Administrators can leverage efficient navigation consistent with managers.
  • SR 40905 ( a ): Added Position Budget Status to the page collections in the left-hand navigation of the HR Admin tile, Position Management menu, so that they are in the same place as similar pages.
  • SR 40905 ( b ): Added Position Funding report to the page collections in the left-hand navigation of the HR Reports tile, Position Reports menu, so that they are in the same place as similar pages.
  • SR 42677: Disqualification questions responses have been added to several OBI reports so that agencies are able to better compare one candidate to another during screening.
  • SR 42702: Two new interview completion statuses have been added to the candidate selection workflows so that agencies can oversee the recruiting process and report on interviews that have been completed in a period of time.
  • SR 42710: Two new fields for Recruitment Bonus Eligibility and Recruitment Bonus Amount have been added to the job requisition, job offer, and reports so that all interested parties and approvers are aware of a future recruitment bonus payment.
  • SR 43356: Updated the FMLA Event Status Report Run Control Options since the process will now end expired events and those values are no longer needed.
  • SR 43804: Increased the agency array size in the Time Certification Process, so that it now accommodates more than 100 agencies.
  • SR 45441: Recruit users with access can now preview attachments so that it saves time in their daily recruiting duties.
  • SR 45996: CAPPS Recruit was upgraded to Release 23A.1.1 so that Recruit agencies have the latest new features and bug fixes.
