CAPPS System Changes - November 2023

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • Provide a custom Travel Authorization report that includes all CAPPS custom T&E fields (SR 31424)
  • Update the Invoice Information page to allow view/edit of DLT comments (SR 32868)
  • Enable the search button for control chartfields to allow users to view the Budget Definition Control CF Page and display additional configurations (SR 36148)
  • Modify the AP reports query tree to add the record VCHR_ATTACH_VW to provide the attachment count for AP vouchers (SR 36307)
  • Update TX_ALL_ACTVY_VW with update SQL select from DPS_ALL_ACTIVITY_V38 (SR 37301)
  • Update the Vendor Short Name logic to allow for sequencing up to 9,999 (change from 999) (SR 37400)
  • Update TX_INACTIVE_USER_QUERIES with additional criteria to exclude terminated and rehired employees (SR 39125)

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • The Projected Longevity Report reports employee data in one Excel tab when a commitment accounting (CA) manager or payroll processor chooses XLS format so that they can create pivot tables and filter results for all employees on a single tab. (SR 14329)
  • The State Matching Contributions report provides accurate employee and state match contribution amounts so that payroll processors can verify funding requests and payroll reconciliation totals. (SR 14904)
  • An edit was added to the FY field on the Department Budget Table so that it validates the year as four characters. (SR 28052)
  • The grand totals are correct when the report is run for multiple agencies on the run control page so that the Sick Leave Pool report generates with the correct grand totals. (SR 33936)
  • Federally funded employees can be enrolled on the exact hire date so that the employee can be tracked as federally funded even if they are not hired on the first day of the month. (SR 40215)
  • An ePM Administrator can efficiently search and view performance documents using the 'Period Begin Date' and 'Period End Date' so that they do not search or view the entire database of performance documents for my agency. (SR 40860)
  • A rate increase is occurring when keying a PRO/020 transaction for an employee also moving from part-time to full-time so that rules regarding PRO/020 are met. (SR 41490)
  • Transactions keyed into SPRS to be picked up and processed by the SPRS program, so that SPRS will accurately reflect information on employees. (SR 43342)
  • The retro PRO/X20 transactions involving a change to a hazardous duty job code keyed will save without receiving a SQL error so that Core Human Resources (HR) Users can complete agency-requested LOA transactions. (SR 44096)
  • The calendar year field located on the PS_TX_ERS_LD_TBL table is now a key field so that the CAPPS Support team can maintain historical information loaded to this table for creating the ERS disability W2 data. (SR 44171)
  • Hours to be removed from the FMLA Balance Inquiry page when the FMLA ID is removed from transactions previously designated as FMLA in Time and Labor so that the FMLA Balance Inquiry only includes days and hours designated as FMLA (SR 44403)
  • The monthly longevity report only lists the same employee with a longevity change once, so that it calculates longevity correctly for employees with LWOP and is accessible for the selected agency on the Run Control Page. (SR 44529)
  • Core Human Resources (HR) Users can correct future dated position rows without causing associated record errors so that they can review the final corrections without receiving a page error when trying to review changes made. (SR 45088)
  • Employee’s W2/ACA consent remains intact without the system revoking and sending me emails stating the consent has been revoked so that their W2/ACA forms will not be sent through the mail. (SR 46039)
  • Changes can be saved that are made to the effective date on a Hire record so that errors made when keying the effective date while entering a Hire transaction can be corrected. (SR 47133)
  • The HOLNE TRC when entered on the timesheet gets processed by Time Administration without generating an exception when the time entry is valid. (SR 47203)
  • The calc stream turns off "OK to Pay" for earnings that are older than 3 years, so that downstream jobs (Distribution Actuals and GL interface) are not impacted, and employees are paid correctly. (SR 47369)
  • The Hazardous Duty Flag updates successfully when using the correct history and toggling the position number so that the Hazardous Duty Flag will reflect the correct information. (SR 47413)
  • Employees have the ability to run the Employee Monthly Time Report multiple times based on a change in the run parameters so that there is no need to reload the page for each run. (SR 47941)
  • The LWOP warning edit is displayed on the appropriate day based on either the regular schedule or the override schedule, so that time can be entered with the appropriate TRC. (SR 48228)
