CAPPS System Changes - October 2023

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • Address USAS interface errors caused by incompatible GL journal T-codes in the journal. (SR 34835)
  • Update primary permissions for Originator and Requestor on requisitions entered via TXSmartBuy. (SR 35163)
  • Modify the SPA extract program to distinguish the HEADER and LINE rows to prevent SPA Extract failures. (SR 36053)
  • Prevent CMBL vendor locations from being used on accounts payable vouchers. (SR 36195)
  • Modify the Asset Summary report to restrict results to only “in service” assets. (SR 36420)

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • An audit of changes made to the shift and health benefit table for employees so that when issues occur on these tables, the audit can be used by the CAPPS support team to research historical changes/additions. (SR 45594)
  • The Direct Reports Build Process completes without error so that managers will see new employees they supervise timely. (SR 45720)
  • The Payroll Doc Approval page now displays documents that are still pending an approval so that Payroll Approvers will not see a duplicate nor an override of an existing approval in SPRS. (SR 45997)
  • A fix on the “Your Timesheet Activity” email includes appropriate time for each individual employee when time is entered by an employee’s supervisor, time administrator, or T&L superuser. (SR 46774)
  • The benefits-saving management process will now update employees who are over 50 years old when they change agencies within the same calendar year so that they can contribute more than the standard year-to-date amount. (SR 47625)
