CAPPS System Changes - August 2026
The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.
The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes
- Modify the ChartField value setup configuration for the security role and permission list. (SR-73484)
- Update the Budget Journal Report to ensure an initial successful run.
(SR-73493) - Fix the USAS to CAPPS inbound process so T-code 90 is not included when updating the USAS proc date on AP vouchers. (SR-73556)
- Fix the approval page to display only a user’s current agency approval requests. (SR-73624)
- Add the CFV_SET_CFV_TBL table to Query Manager. (SR-73985)
- Update the TXQTRDGL451 Report to include the HX Source. (SR-74155)
- Retrofit specific fields into the AP Fluid WorkCenter’s My Work pages. (SR-74338)
- Improve the performance of project costing. (SR-74453)
- Update the page display and scrolling behavior to show all content dynamically on the page.

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes
- Add “View Approval Status” and remove “Approve Documents” from fluid navigation to streamline the ePM administrator access and reduce reliance on the classic navbar.
(SR-79877) - Edit the ePM batch process to prevent it from assigning a PM document to the employee being evaluated to ensure the evaluation remains with the appropriate reviewer. (SR-79878)
- Implement the TCEQ Rider 34 with on‑call and overtime rules to ensure accurate pay and full compliance for emergency response employees. (SR-79944)
- Update the ERS ABBR process with the $12 hazardous duty pay for eligible TDCJ employees to ensure accurate salary calculations and proper reporting to ERS. (SR-79959)
- Create a new role and permission set that provides appropriate security access to the TX_HRS_ADD_APPL_CI component interface to ensure that the Work in Texas (WIT) State of Texas Applications (SOTA) for Employment are processed consistently and securely across environments in the Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) SOTA inbound process. - Correct the state service date on the Fluid Manage Job page so that it accurately reflects LWOP adjustments and aligns consistently with the agency service date to ensure core HR users maintain precise and reliable employee service records. (SR-80384)
- Update the WIT SOTA import process to include completed online questionnaires, clearer messaging, screening responses, attachments, EEO details, attestation acknowledgments and a Work In Texas indicator to ensure consistent information when screening applicants. (SR-80471)
- Remove a duplicate navigation entry for the CPE Main Load page to ensure payroll processors can reliably access the TX CPE Main Load menu through core navigation for loading one‑time adjustments, such as CPE, CIET and CIDT transactions to pay lines.
(SR-80658) - Instruct the TX_HRS_APPLICATION_QRY to remove duplicate questions and multiple response rows to ensure accurate applicant screening results for query viewers. (SR-80709)
- Display the correct employee record in the TAM APPROVER SEARCH LOOKUP field, current job information and the appropriate approver for job openings and job offers in the search results. (SR-80782)
- Fix invalid address errors when applicants correctly enter information in the ADRESS 1 and/or ADDRESS 2 fields on the Work Experience page for the WIT SOTA. (SR-80871)
- Allow schedule changes for TDCJ employees in job code 4511 during the time and labor (T&L) auto-enrollment process so superusers can achieve more accurate enrollments across all FLSA statuses without needing frequent correction tickets. (SR-80903)
- Exclude breaks in service when calculating the agency hazardous duty service date so core users receive accurate and consistent hazardous duty totals with correct and eligible LOA and LWOP periods while omitting time between termination and rehire. (SR-80905)
- Improve the leave of absence (LOA) process (TX_EMPL_LOA) for the employee performance report so core users can retrieve consistent data promptly. (SR-80930)
- Improve the CAPPS-to-SPRS transmission process to ensure accurate and timely system updates so all required payroll and HR files reach SPRS consistently before nightly processing. (SR-80962)
- Allow users with recruit administrator and HR manager roles to view applicant felony‑related responses for assessing minimum qualification eligibility. (SR-81175)
- Updates the TX_HRS_APPLICANT_QRY by using the correct APLICATION DISPOSITION field instead of the Applicant Status, ensuring users only see submitted applications and preventing confusion from draft or incomplete entries appearing in query results. (SR-81232)
- Restores “Your Timesheet Activity” email notifications for superusers and time administrators, and limits updates to only the specific modified entries rather than entire rows, so employees receive timely and accurate updates while unaffected entries remain unchanged. (SR-81300)
- Remove the Most Recent Note and Note Created By columns from the Manage Applicant Lists page to prevent users from seeing notes added by other agencies and improve multi‑tenancy by eliminating information that has no business need to be displayed.
(SR-81443) - Adjust the rollback behavior in the automated career path process, allowing users to run reliable and accurate career path updates for designated positions so entries and edits are completed efficiently without manual intervention when process failures occur. (SR-81455)
- Requires users to assign a recruiter before saving or submitting a job opening and prevents users from populating the RECRUITER TEAM field and updating lookup behavior to display only current, effective‑dated employee records with appropriate security roles. (SR-81555)
- Improve TAM performance for job openings with large applicant volumes and complex data rendering to ensure faster and more reliable application access. (SR-81678)
- Revise the MSS My Job Openings tile default navigation so hiring managers are transferred to the Recruiting Activities tile, bypassing the My Job Openings page. (SR-81788)
