CAPPS System Changes - February 2026

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • Add new functionality to prevent a cash receipt user from approving their own transactions. (SR-68155)
  • Remove special characters from the TX_CNT_ALT_EXPL table for data extracts. (SR-69672)
  • Update the GL Journal File Import to properly display the DLT. (SR-70430)
  • Add the COMMENTS field to the TX_Q_EX_SHT_APP table for data extracts. (SR-70513)
  • Remove the copy voucher icon from the Voucher Search page. (SR-70921)
  • Fix the warning message code to properly display when a new receipt is created with multiple lines and different serialization settings. (SR-71140)

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • Update to correctly store applicable LOA months to the employee's hazardous duty prior state service row on termination. (SR-70078)
  • Enhance the Hire Candidate page so future-dated transactions processed on the page will validate against the correct Manage Job row for the employee. (SR-70142)
  • Correct the landing page upon using the back button when viewing a performance document to the View Performance Documents search page. (SR-72914)
  • Exclude time served in job codes that are ineligible for service credit from FMLA eligible service weeks calculation. (SR-73035)
  • Ensure the AGENCY SERVICE DATE field and STATE SERVICE DATE field are null for employees in job codes ineligible for service time. (SR-73285)
  • Add Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Accredited checkbox to the CAPPS employee profile pages. (SR-74039)
  • Add separation date for inactive status in the TX_EP_AGY_EMPLS_WO_EVALS_DOCS query. (SR-74041)
  • Updated so the longevity amount displayed on the Total Compensation page accurately reflects the pay the employee is entitled to receive. (SR-74047)
  • Correct the ERS Monthly Reconciliation report for derived values of the optional life benefit plan for elected officials. (SR-74213)
  • Enhanced so the fiscal year will default appropriately for certain FMLA leave requests. (SR-74661)
  • Add time and labor module to generate OT premium taken hours separately from OT premium paid hours in payable time. (SR-74766)
  • Modify payroll to generate qualified taken premium (QTP) and store separately from the qualified OT premium amount (QOP). (SR-74812)
  • Resolve the unwanted deletion of hazardous duty prior state service rows when updating sequential job termination rows. (SR-75028)
  • Apply the Oracle-provided patch to update the ESS W-4 format to the 2026 version. (SR-75551)
