CAPPS System Changes - November 2025

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • Fix the journal upload process to allow budget attribute ledger updates for the PROJECT budget ledger. (SR-61349)
  • Update the voucher build process to default accounting entry template. (SR-66696)
  • Enhance the ProCard-style voucher to require a 16-digit account number when paying the U.S. Bank vendor. (SR-67976)

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • Update the CAPPS notification of change (NOC) process to not report the direct deposit changes that it has updated back to the TINS system, as these changes, also called NOC stops, are not required to be reported again, and are not to be transmitted from TINS to SPRS. (SR-60296)
  • Allow performance documents to accurately display manager and employee comments. (SR-63406)
  • Provide the ability to run a report listing direct/indirect reports. (SR-66576)
  • Allow employees to view their agency service date, prior state service information and most recent hire/rehire date in Employee Self-Service (ESS). (SR-67624)
  • Allow PM administrators to use the Add Attachments feature to attach job descriptions to a PM document. (SR-68385)
  • Provide the ability for core human resources users to run a query to find employees' time and labor (TL) leave without pay (LWOP) and leave of absence (LOA) month(s). (SR-68495)
  • Allow an edit to stop payroll processors from running the SPRS payroll outbound while another instance of the same job is running. (SR-68906)
  • Ensure prior state service end date is set correctly when employee is rehired from a hazardous to a non-hazardous position. (SR-69691)
  • Change the data source of the Leave Balance Detail & CompTime/Overtime Earned report to allow generation without being blank. (SR-70046)
  • Update so attachment files within Performance Management will now be deleted when the performance document is deleted. (SR-71653)
  • Allow update to an employee's FMLA begin or return date as necessary without error, so that FMLA information in CAPPS is accurate. (SR-71861)
  • Update so error message will now prevent users from designating the "additional job" for an employee as the primary job. (SR-72392)
  • Add protection to the TEXAS-level job codes so that non-CAPPS support team users cannot make edits. (SR-72416)
