CAPPS System Changes - October 2025

The system change information below provides a summary of the new and/or updated functionality that was implemented into the CAPPS Production environment during the indicated month, including the Service Request (SR) number for the change. This information is reviewed monthly during the CAPPS user group meetings.

The current Release Notes format began in April 2023. For additional details about the SRs listed in months prior to April 2023, CAPPS agency support staff can view the SR details via the SR ticketing system.

CAPPS Financials Changes

  • Added a new validation of the date field to ensure the start date is before the end date for the Project ChartField within the Project Costing module. (SR-65787)
  • Created a database-level audit table so the PO Status History can be queried for reporting. (SR-66621)
  • Fix the View Printable Version link on the PO page so the report prints the standard terms and conditions as referenced on the agency’s PO Business Unit. (SR-66675)
  • Update the color of the accessibility icon. (SR-67951)

CAPPS HR/Payroll Changes

  • Group 4 withholdings on edited paylines will be recalculated correctly, so that payroll processes accurately. (SR-60292)
  • The company service date for dual employees will calculate and update appropriately when changes are made to the employee's prior state service information, so that the employee's vacation accruals and longevity pay are accurate. (SR-64106)
  • The accrual catch-up rule will calculate hours appropriately in all scenarios so that correct hours can be awarded to the EE. (SR-67263)
  • An employee's emplid and name associated with the last status update of an education row will be displayed in the TX_HR_ESS_EDU_ACHIEVEMENTS query results. (SR-68384)
  • Enable generation of Optional Holiday Owed Report without any issues in all scenarios. (SR-70047)
  • The TX_HR_AGY_ONETIME_MERIT query will include active and inactive employees for a more thorough review. (SR-70108)
  • The accessibility icon will appear blue, so that it is consistent with the other icons on the top toolbar in CAPPS production environments. (SR-70977)
  • Enable HR users to reference TEXAS-Level Job Codes within PSQuery. (SR-71049)
