  8. Post-Meeting Special Discussion: Group 3 Retirement Q&A with ERS Representatives

    Update: The Q&A with ERS has been POSTPONED due to unforeseen circumstances. The survey will remain open for user input while a rescheduled date is determined.

    Based on feedback from CAPPS agencies, we are hosting a special Q&A session with representatives from the Employees Retirement System (ERS) to discuss the handling of employees who fall into retirement Group 3. This particular retirement group applies to employees who became members of ERS between 09/01/2013—08/31/2022. At the time of retirement, Group 3 employees are required to declare whether they want to:

    • Apply any remaining (unused) annual leave towards increasing their annuity
      –or–
    • Receive a lump sum payment for the unused annual leave hours
    • It cannot be both

    To facilitate the conversation, we are encouraging agencies to submit related questions in advance of the meeting in the ERS Q&A Participant Questions survey.
