“What’s New” on FMX

The Fiscal Management applications and mainframe systems are expected to be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Unclaimed property turned over to the state includes property that may belong to state agencies or institutions of higher education. If agencies and institutions do not claim property after an annual notification, the Comptroller’s office deposits the money into unappropriated General Revenue (GR). Currently held property will be swept into GR if not claimed by May 31.

The CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Production and Non-Production environments have upcoming maintenance scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017.

Production Maintenance
The CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Production environments will undergo PSU patching on Sunday, Jan. 15 from 1:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon).

The following environments will be unavailable during this time:

• FINPRD1 – CAPPS Financials Production
• HCMPRD1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll Production
• FINRPT1 – CAPPS Financials Reporting
• HCMRPT1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll Reporting
• PIHPRD1 – CAPPS Portal Production

Non-Production Maintenance
The CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Non-Production environments will undergo Windows patching on Sunday, Jan. 15 from 4 a.m. until 9 a.m. The Non-Production environments will remain available during this window; however, the Search feature in Financials Production will not be available.

The 2018-19 Biennial Revenue Estimate (BRE) is available on Comptroller.Texas.Gov, following its release to the Texas Legislature. Texas lawmakers use this constitutionally mandated estimate to create a balanced budget during the legislative session.

USAS documentation on FMX has been updated:

• The USAS T-Code Reference Guide (FPP Q.014) features nine transaction code sorts available in HTML or Excel and an expanded T-Codes Most Commonly Used table.
• USAS Reference (FPP Q.012) includes updated lists of Comptroller General Ledger Accounts, Document Type and Title, User Class and Title, and Comptroller Objects Sorted by Object Group for Appropriation Year 2017 (now available in HTML or Excel).

The biennial Report to the 85th Legislature: CAPPS — ERP in Texas is available now for view or download. The report details for the Legislature the progress of statewide deployment of the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel system or CAPPS, as required by HB 3106 and passed by the 80th Legislature in 2007.

The CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Non-Production and Production environments have several upcoming maintenance items scheduled to occur beginning Saturday, Jan. 7 through Sunday, Jan. 8.

Non-Production Maintenance

The CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Non-Production environments will undergo scheduled maintenance to conduct PSU patching on Sunday, Jan. 8 from 12 a.m. (midnight) to 11 a.m.

The following environments will be unavailable during these times:

• HCMUAT1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll User Acceptance Test
• FINUAT1 – CAPPS Financials User Acceptance Test
• PIHUAT1 – CAPPS Portal User Acceptance Test
• HCMMNT1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll Maintenance
• FINMNT1 – CAPPS Financials Maintenance
• PIHMNT1 – CAPPS Portal Maintenance
• HCMSBX1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll Sandbox
• FINSBX1 – CAPPS Financials Sandbox
• PIHSBX1 – CAPPS Portal Sandbox

Production Maintenance

The CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Production environments will undergo monthly Windows patching maintenance on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 12 a.m. (midnight) to 3 a.m. The Production environments will remain available during this maintenance; however, during this window the Search feature in the following Financials environments will not be available:

• FINPRD1 – CAPPS Financials Production
• FINRPT1 – CAPPS Financials Reporting
• PIHPRD1 – CAPPS Portal Production

CAPPS Financials and HR/Payroll Production environments will also undergo scheduled maintenance to service passwords for administrative accounts beginning on Sunday, Jan. 8 from 4 a.m. until 11 a.m.

The following environments will be unavailable during this time:

• HCMPRD1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll Production
• FINPRD1 – CAPPS Financials Production
• PIHPRD1 – CAPPS Portal Production
• FINRPT1 – CAPPS Financials Reporting
• HCMRPT1 – CAPPS HR/Payroll Reporting

The Fiscal 2017 Agency Statewide Cost Allocation Plan by Method of Finance is not yet available. As a result, due dates for the Statewide Cost Allocation Worksheet, the General Revenue Reimbursement of Statewide Allocated Costs form and the first quarter general revenue reimbursements for statewide allocated costs have been revised.
