Expenditures Related to Legal Proceedings

Even though the Office of the Attorney General is charged with representing the state in litigation, there are instances where state agencies may need to use state-appropriated funds for expenditures relating to legal proceedings.

As with other types of expenditures, the agency submitting the claim must properly audit the claim and verify the payment would serve a proper public purpose.
