Documentation Retention

State agencies shall retain documentation on contracts for seven years from the:

  • Date the contract is completed or expires.
    – or –
  • Date all issues arising from any litigation, claim, negotiation, audit, open records request, administrative review or other actions involving the contract are resolved.
