Becoming a Hold Source Agency
To begin the warrant hold process, the state agency or institution of higher education must be established as a Hold Source agency by the Comptroller’s office. Once established, the agency uses TINS to:
- Set up hold records
- Update hold debt amounts
- Change a debtor’s name or address information
- Release a debtor’s hold record
